Pupil Attendance Care Team (PACT)
The PACT is an Attendance Improvement and Drop-out Prevention (AIDP) funded by United Way and the NYC Board of Education. At two public schools, Isaacs staff provide a wide range of support services to select families with the goal of ensuring school success.
Everyday PACT Family Assistants monitor late arrivals, use strategies to improve student attendance, and provide wake up calls before the school day begins.

- Student incentives for improved and perfect attendance

- Automatic registrations for children with excessive absences

East Harlem Works
The East Harlem Works is an employment and educational
initiative for in-school youth. This program offers a comprehensive
array of educational, employment and supportive social services
at several community locations. It is intended to help youth
remain and excel in school while providing them with job readiness
skills. Youth may receive a stipend of up to $80 per month
for successful participation in the program.
Key program elements:
Academic Services: tutoring, study groups, instruction towards high school completion, college prep guidance in addition to alternative secondary school services.
Employment: after school & summer employment opportunities linked to academic and work related training, paid and unpaid work experiences through internships and job shadowing, occupational training and job mentoring.
Leadership Development : community service activities, youth council involvement, financial management training, and adult mentoring.
Support Services: referrals, case management, comprehensive guidance counseling and follow-up after exiting the program.

Scholarships
The Isaacs Center scholarship program is open for individuals ages 18 to 24 with financial need, a history of involvement with the center, and a plan to use the money to achieve their goals. The number and amount of the awards varies from year to year based on the private donations available to the agency. Since its inception in 1985, we have awarded 118 winners totaling over $188,500.00.

Henry and Lucy Moses College Preparation Program
We “level the playing field” for young people who lack sufficient family resources to help them consider college. We provide tutoring, counseling, workshops and college tours to help participants prepare for college.
