If you have ever thought about volunteering your time to help the underserved, the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center offers a myriad of opportunities for you. You can help high school students think about their future, going to college or a getting a job that utilizes their skills and talents. You could also deliver meals to homebound seniors, being possibly their only connections to the outside world. If you have the interest, we have the opportunities. In addition to present programs, we are always eager to meet those who can put their professional and personal skills to use, and create, in conjunction with the Volunteer Coordinator, a program of their own.

Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center Senior Services serves the elderly by providing meals educational, recreational and social programs. Depending on your interest, you can help seniors in any of the above activities. With our Social Activities for the Frail Elderly (SAFE), Music Therapy, and Meals On Wheels Program, you could interact with seniors, brightening their day.

Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center Adult and Family Learning Program is always looking for individuals to help teach adult students math concepts, as well as word processing; and how about teaching an adult to swing or salsa dance? You can show off your moves while instructing others.

Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center Youth & Family Services has a varied selection of opportunities to spend time with youth, adults or parents. Whether by being a tutor, mentor, career mentor, SAT teacher, swimming instructor or basketball coach, you can meet and interact with youth, encouraging self-sufficiency and community involvement. Our program serves hundreds of young people daily, and is perpetually expanding.

You can touch the lives of others and have fun at the same time by becoming involved with the Isaacs Center. Once you spend some time with us, you will wonder why you didn't volunteer sooner. If you are interested or have questions about any of the above programming, please feel free to call (212) 360-7625 or fill-up the apllication below.
